This was one of the highlights. The venue called Biomill seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, hidden in between the huge alps. We drove to Laufen trough some of the scariest little mountain roads and some of the most beautiful scenery ever. Before the show, me and Mikko took a stroll on a mountain and I swear we saw a werewolf. We have pictures to prove it too. The show was one of the best on the tour. The place was packed and the people were nuts! After partying with some great Swiss people, we went to sleep to a Swiss army bunker. D-E and bunkers is a good match for sure. Check pictures from that night: http://www.biomillaufen.ch.

The club last night was a little sedate so we wondered if there was to be more of the same. How wrong we were. We arrive to find a building miles from anywhere. The venue's very punk - as is the crowd. It's the rowdiest crowd of the tour with much stage diving, friendly violence and nipple biting. We respond in kind with a full on set, fucking intense. The night continues in the same vein (i.e. messy). Our lodgings for the night is an underground bunker used for emergencies such as floods, wars and Chikinki coming to town. We have 100 beds between 6 of us but we don't end up sleeping in any of them. Such a waste. But there is drinking to be done, and an enormous bag of cud to get through before our flight at 7 in the morning. Straight from the club to the airport absolutely fucked and then to bed...
See you in part the fourth, egads!

Sometimes everything goes wrong and you are almost sure that your show is going to suck but in the end everything turns out completely different...
Laufen was one of these shows. I can not even remember when I was this nervous right before starting the set. But, lets start at the beginning of this journey.
I think it was a 700 km drive (one way) for this show and because we already know that we have a little;-) problem with being on time, so we tried to leave Gröraming really early. So Manuel and I arrived in our hometown at 10:00 a.m. because we joined the last concert of our dearest friend Julia of Jan. feat Udssr. the night before. But as you can imagine we did not make it in time another time... There was this awful traffic jam near Munich and it took us way longer than we expected to cross the border. Everybody was really tired of driving so long and nobody was really motivated but after arriving the venue (this time we where 3 hours late) and meeting mampfi (the organizer) everything was cool and we started to relax again. So both bands playing before us were awesome. Toxic Guinea pigs and Corwen did a great job and especially the guys from toxic guinea pigs were very kind and awesome on stage. So as I already said: Can't remember when I was this nervous the last time so I practiced all the songs in the backstage room because the gig we did a week ago was not that what we expect of ourselves...so I wanted to do it better this time...and hell...it was fucking crazy. I think it was one of the best crowd we ever had...they went totally crazy and almost tore the whole place apart ;-). Sometimes a little bit to hard and so I got a bunch with my mikrophone...hehehe...doesn't matter because you guys were sooooo awesome...hell it was a big party and after going crazy on stage we partied with our friends from skartnak. Thank you very much for coming this long, long way to see us.it was a pleasure meeting you guys and after a lot of beer and great sound from dj mampfi we decided to go to the hotel!
Thank you so much Mampfi for putting this show. Thanks to all people who came to the show! It was such a pleasure or lets say unbelievable?! Hopefully we will meet again in NYON !!!! (posted by Steff, 2006/01/26, 09:58pm)
Grazie, Biomill!
